Sian Ware – staff spotlight
Sian is one of Optimum Finance’s amazing Assistant Relationship Managers. Originally from Malaysia, Sian joined the business in 2017 in a graduate role, having skilled up with a post-grad qualification in finance at UWE in Bristol.
We caught up with Sian to hear how it’s all going, having celebrated her two-year anniversary with us in November:
“Optimum Finance is like a family. From the moment I started, I felt empowered to get stuck in and become part of the company story. I found my job incredibly stimulating from the outset – I started learning more about the capabilities of invoice finance and how we can help our clients in so many different ways and had an awesome support system in place to enable my development from day one. There is a huge emphasis on training as part of the company culture at Optimum so the pace of my learning has been excellent.
“The best bit about my role for me is the great relationships I have with my clients. It is really satisfying to be able to offer flexible solutions to queries of all shapes and sizes – we can be quite creative to find the best result and I really enjoy that process.
“Beyond my role, the fact that we all get on so well as a team makes work really enjoyable. Just before I got married, they surprised me with a hen do at the office and later that evening we went out in a karaoke bus to town - it was one of the best nights of my life. Needless to say, they made my wedding reception just as memorable!!”
Outside of work, Sian is an avid yogi and loves going for long walks in the countryside. Luckily for Sian, both her favourite hobbies are pandemic-friendly!
