Every person at Optimum Finance plays an important role in getting your funding to you. We spoke to Catrina from our credit control team to learn a little more about what it takes to keep your collections and credit control running smoothly.
“I’m one of the Credit Controllers at Optimum. I am responsible for collecting payments against our clients’ invoices. This can take the form of speaking to our clients’ customers and verifying that they have received invoices and intend to pay, sending reminder letters and emails, and sometimes negotiating payment plans to ensure payments can be made.
“Cash that we receive is then allocated against the appropriate invoice in our system. This allocation is done first thing each morning and ensures that the maximum funds can be released to our clients for the day-to-day running of their business. Our clients find that having a dedicated credit control team to support their collections frees up a lot of their time allowing them to focus on other aspects of running their business.
"I love working here. It is a lovely friendly office and you can always rely on the other team members to pitch in and work together. It’s almost like having a second family!"
Outside of the office Catrina is an avid sports fan. She fiercely supports the Gloucester Rugby team and often attends matches with her daughter.
