Richard Pepler – Chief Executive Officer
Richard is a dynamic and resourceful CEO with a proven 40 year track record in commercial finance, asset-based lending, factoring and invoice discounting, 24 of those running a number of successful invoice finance businesses. He creates a high-performance culture where Optimum provides a service excellence to SMEs, supporting them in good times and bad, helping them grow, prosper and fulfil their aspirations.
Claire Lewis – Chief Operating Officer
Claire has 21 years’ experience in the factoring and invoice discounting industry with a deep understanding of how to help a wide variety of businesses get the best out of these types of cash flow solutions. She has a great ability to build close relationships with clients and to ensure that Optimum successfully provides highly personalised services that are truly tailored to the client’s unique individual needs.
Scott Braybrook – Chief Financial Officer
Scott has over 31 years’ experience as an accountant, initially in Blue Chip financial services, and in commercial lending since 2008. Most recently he was FD for the start-up of a challenger bank invoice discounter, and his industry experience and connections will be an asset to both the Optimum team and their clients.
Angie Briggs – Sales Director
Angie started her career at RBS then switched to the invoice finance industry about 21 years ago as a credit controller. She swiftly progressed into senior positions in operations and risk management, ultimately moving into business development. For her success is all about building close relationships with like-minded clients who can genuinely benefit from the services offered by Optimum – relationships where total transparency and excellent service engender trust and confidence.
Sherie Culley – Head of Compliance and Customer Relations
Sherie has spent the past 19 years building a successful career in the invoice finance industry. Her experience gathered across a variety of roles in the finance industry from relationship manager to auditor means that she has developed a dedicated customer understanding and appreciation which is central to what we do at Optimum.
Mike Stevens – Regional Sales Director – London & South East
Mike has been in the industry for 11 years, bringing a diverse background ranging from high street banking and alternative funding to a year in a tech firm providing software to the SME lending market. Mike believes that understanding an SME business, adding a personal touch, building trust and being fully transparent is the key to a strong relationship. Mike is passionate in helping businesses to understand how funding can assist in achieving their goals and aspirations.
Steve Goulden – Regional Sales Director, Midlands
Steve has over 26 years’ experience in the Invoice Finance and ABL arena in a number of roles including client management, credit and for the last 12 years new business development across the Midlands. Steve thrives on developing strong relationships and delivering tailored solutions to meet customers’ needs. Outside of work Steve is a keen golfer when time permits.
Sieko Skryzpczak – Head of Marketing
Sieko brings 21 years of global insight and experience to the financial services team, offering a unique and dynamic approach to the business. Sieko is an agile and strategic thinker and in his new role, is ready to continue adding value to the already successful business, which is Optimum Finance.
Kerri Hodgson – Head of Client Management
With 21 years in the invoice finance sector, in both a banking and an independent environment, Kerry understands how to provide a high-quality service to clients. Extensive experience with businesses from a wide range of industries has given Kerry a strong understanding of all trades. It means she is able to provide a collaborative approach to portfolio management, thinking outside of the box, and offering a bespoke invoice finance solution to Optimum’s clients.
Lisa Doherty – Client Manager
Lisa started her career in RBS where her strong relationship building skills have taken her to various roles from retail banking to the factoring and invoice discounting industry. Having had over 11 years’ experience within the financial sector she has the understating that all clients’ needs are not the same. She strongly believes that the services offered by Optimum as well as her own drive for relationship building means that a strong working relationship will be key in delivering what the Client is looking for.
Jess Ardis – Client Manager
Jess joins our team, bringing with her 8 years of experience in the invoice finance industry. Being client focussed and having spent the last 5 years in Client Management roles, she brings a healthy mix of flexibility and professionalism to the business. Able to excel in a high-performance environment, Jessica is an important asset to the company.
Jonny Bryan – Finance Manager
Jonny has spent the last five years at Firestarter Business Solutions, most recently as a Commercial Manager. Prior to this he worked in a variety of roles across the public sector, corporate and SME environments. He has experience understanding the sensitivity and urgency required in SME cash flow management, something that will bring value to the team at Optimum. Jonny is eager to learn and passionate to succeed, continuing to build upon his knowledge of business process, data analytics and financial reporting.
Saddaf Khokhar – New Business Support Executive
Saddaf has immense experience of working within the legal sector, until recently working at a prestigious law firm. She has over 11 years experience within the Legal and financial services sector and strives to always understand her clients’ needs. This helps her in this important role of helping SMEs transition into a new active client of the Optimum Finance.
